Global Broadway Productions is in the business of identifying, developing and producing live theatrical musicals and plays. It is the mission of Global Broadway to produce Plays and Musicals that are either already “brands” or have “branding” potential, and have the capability for international production in multiple languages.
Formed in 2009 by Broadway producers Ben Sprecher and Louise Forlenza, Global Broadway has become the official development arm of their production roster. Global Broadway Productions has an interest is the new musical Little House on the Prairie written by Tony winner Rachel Sheinkin and Academy Award winner composer Rachel Portman. Global Broadway has developed the English adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier’s Rebecca opening in London in 2011 and on Broadway 2012 by Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay, adapted by Christopher Hampton and directed by Michael Blakemore. Global Broadway is involved in the development of the new musical Havana written by world renowned composer Frank Wildhorn, based on an original story by Pulitzer Prize winner Nilo Cruz and directed by Tony Award winner Sergio Truillio. Global Broadway is producing for Broadway in 2011/12 the stage adaptation of William Peter Blatty’s The Exorcist written by John Pielmeier, author of Agnes of God.
